UPPER NOTHOFAGIDITES ASPERUS
The zone is assigned based on the presence of Proteacidites rectomarginis, P. crassus, Triporopollenites delicatus, T. ambiguus.
Max Biostrat Zone 2
Pollen dominance is shared between Nothofagidites species, Casuarinaceae and Podocarpaceae. Proteaceae are rare and less diverse. Accessory species include Australopollis obscurus, Proteacidites beddoesii, P. latrobensis, P. obscurus.
